Basic Throwing and Hand Building Ceramics Class For Teens and Adults with Rachel Brown

from 200.00

Come play in the clay! Learn the basics or brush up on what you already know in a relaxed environment. A small class size will allow you to work at your own speed and on the projects you want to focus on.  Learn basic wheel, centering, and simple forms, along with hand building techniques including slab building, slumping, coiling, and pinching. Rachel will teach according to the experience level of the class so handle pulling, foot attachment, trimming and other basic techniques may also be covered. Also, feel free to use the class time as independent work time if you already have a project in mind. Rachel will help as little or as much as the student needs.

Fee includes 25 lbs. of clay, firings, and use of basic glazes and tools. Students are welcome to bring their own tools and cone 5-6 glazes.
